Annotation

This single panel print was made while martial law was still imposed in the Philippines. The artist, Ofelia Gelvezon-Tequi, studied the different expressions of justice, while calling for a fair and diligent judiciary system that holds the fate of the Philippines at balance.This artwork is based on the 14th century fresco by Ambrogio Lorenzetti entitled "Allegory of Justice".
