21AM Online Curatorial Workshop

CCP VAMD and TAO Inc. presented the 21AM Curatorial Workshop as part of the ongoing preparations for 21AM last 1 to 5 February 2021 via Zoom. The five-day online workshop covered topics such as the framework and newly custom-designed Accession Record System of 21AM; traditional art of the Philippines and Southeast Asia; curation for 21st-century contemporary art spaces; and the tensions between traditional and contemporary art. It was initiated for selected CCP personnel and ten slots were opened to young curators not currently connected with the CCP who are interested in pursuing projects related to the CCP and its collections. Facilitated by Marian Pastor Roces of TAO Inc., the workshop was participated by CCP VAMD and TAO Inc. staff and independent curators within and outside Metro Manila namely Mac Andre Arboleda, Alain Zedrick Camiling, Geri Matthew Carretero, Lauren Marie Sevilla Faustino, Jay Nathan Jore, Jessica Nicole Ramas Manuel, Marinella Andrea C. Mina, Carlos Quijon, Jr., Mariah Christelle Feliciano Reodica, and Cristian Tablazon. Observers from other offices within the CCP also joined the curatorial workshop.
