Woman: Thesis and Antithesis

March 21, 2023 - June 24, 2023

Who defines women’s image? In yesteryears, it was tradition, and often a male-dominated perspective rooted from the flesh, or a form forced to be subjugated. And women followed.

Today, woman is her own thesis... and a paradox for what she presents to the world. As creative vessel, she brings forth life as mother, and ideas as a creative force. Both ways, she finds her identity in her individuality and her place in society. She is both creator of life that goes through her womb. But she is likewise creator in spirit, with solid ideas, statements of militant activism and change. She is more than flesh, and as the feminine spirit, breaks stereotypes, unleashing change into the world.

So we ask, in the play of paradoxes, woman is now the antithesis to the subject that she once was. A contradiction of worlds, paralleling two ideas in her one being as she continues to become, and influence and move society. She is both creator and destroyer as she breaks ground in presenting what needs to be seen about her feminine role in society.
